Multicultural Popular Sports Integration Center (NIMPE)
The Multicultural Popular Sports Integration Center (NIMPE) is a sports complex located on the Trindade Campus and managed by the Sports, Culture and Recreation Department (DECL). The complex includes a synthetic turf soccer field, a bocce court, a fitness center, rooms for physical activity classes, and various spaces for social gatherings and academic events.
At NIMPE, the university and wider communities have free access to a variety of physical activities and movement-based practices, promoting the democratization of sports and recreational activities and contributing to a more active, participatory and connected UFSC.
NIMPE offers both ongoing projects with continuous enrollment and projects offered on a semester basis. Together, these initiatives benefit more than 600 participants each semester, representing all age groups and diverse social backgrounds.
